Assembly and Installation
Are your buildings easy to put together?
Our kits are designed with the end user in mind. Every kit arrives flat-packed with precision cut components, heavy-duty fixings and clear instructions. You don’t need to be a carpenter to get a great result, just a bit of space and a few basic tools.
We’d always suggest having at least two people on hand for larger builds, as the timber is solid and heavy.
How long does assembly take?
Each timber building kit will approximately take 2 – 5 hours to put together.
We’d recommend having at least two people on hand for larger builds, as the timber is solid and heavy.
What tools will I need?
Most kits can be assembled with standard DIY tools: a drill, screwdriver, spirit level and tape measure. Your instructions will let you know if anything specific is required.
Do you offer an installation service?
We supply our buildings in kit form for self-assembly, which keeps costs down and gives you flexibility. If you’d like help finding a local installer, get in touch and we’ll point you in the right direction where we can.
Care and Maintenance
How long will my timber building last?
With proper care, a pressure-treated timber building will last for many years. Our timber is chosen and treated to stand up to British weather, so you can enjoy it season after season.
How do I look after my timber building?
Routine care keeps your timber building looking its best. We recommend:
Cleaning the timber once a year to remove dirt and debris
Checking fixings and joints now and then to make sure everything is secure
Is it normal for the timber to warp or split slightly?
You may notice some minor warping or splitting, but this is natural behaviour for timber and usually settles down over time. It doesn’t affect the structural integrity of your building.
Do I need to treat the wood when it arrives?
Our timber is pressure-treated before it leaves us, so it’s ready to face the elements. If you’d like to add a colour or extra protective finish, that’s a great way to keep it looking fresh for longer.
About Our Products
What kinds of timber garden buildings do you make?
Our range covers wooden pergolas, gazebos, BBQ shelters, hot tub shelters, log stores, carports, and rustic garden furniture.
We also supply kiln dried logs and natural firelighters for your wood burner, stove or fire pits.
Where are your products made?
Everything is designed and handcrafted in Buckinghamshire by our team of skilled joiners. We’re proud to support British craftsmanship, and making our products in-house means we can keep a close eye on quality from start to finish.
